Islamic scholars, Amir Ikhwan Awwal and Sheikh Abubakar Solaty have called on Nigerians, both Muslims and Christians, to offer prayers for President Bola Tinubu as he leads the country through economic challenges.

During a Ramadan public lecture organized by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos, Awwal stressed the importance of faith and encouraged citizens to place their trust in God rather than the government.

He also urged Nigerians to avoid blaming President Tinubu for the country’s struggles and to pray for national progress.

Sheikh Solaty echoed similar sentiments, commending Tinubu’s generosity and encouraging Muslims to make their fasts meaningful by practicing kindness and accountability. He reminded political leaders to fear God and act justly.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented at the event, praised the APC for organizing the lecture and urged Nigerians to remain hopeful.

The APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, also highlighted the importance of unity, love, and peace, encouraging Nigerians to support the government’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at creating a prosperous future for the nation.
