The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has handed over 19 rescued kidnapping victims to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa.
The handover took place on Thursday at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja.
Among the rescued individuals were Ambassador Gideon Yohanna, former NYSC Director-General Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga (retired), who had been in captivity for 56 days, and 17 others, including a child.
During the event, Ribadu and Musa reaffirmed their commitment to eliminating criminal elements and restoring security across the country.
Ribadu praised the efforts of the armed forces and security agencies for successfully securing the victims’ release, emphasizing that operations to combat crime would continue.
