The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has charged the Super Eagles to go for victory in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
The Super Eagles will look to secure their first win in the qualifiers when they take on the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium, Kigali on Friday.
Eric Chelle’s side will also lock horns with the Warriors of Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo next week Tuesday
With the Super Eagles sitting in fifth position in Group C with three points from four games, NFF stated that it was important for the team to secure maximum points from the two games.
The body also demanded total support for the team in their quest to qualify for the World Cup.

Former Super Eagles player Emmanuel Amuneke has warned that the 2026 World Cup qualifiers will be challenging for Nigeria as the team prepares for crucial matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Amuneke expressed concern about Nigeria’s difficult position in the group standings, noting that even victories might not guarantee qualification.
The former Barcelona winger emphasised the importance of focus and determination from the players as they face the crucial fixtures.
The Super Eagles players have since started arriving at their Kigali, Rwanda camp which opened on Sunday with new head coach Eric Chelle and his backroom staff leading the pack ahead of Friday’s clash against the Amavubis
