The Schools of Infrastructure, Process Engineering and Technology (SIPET) and Electrical Electronics Engineering (SEET) at the Federal University of Technology Minna – have launched a ceremony to flag off a training workshop for Technologists at the institution.
The 3-day workshop otherwise known as Skill G ‘ADD-ONS got underway on Tuesday at the main Campus of the University in Gidan Kwano with the launching of stools fabricated by students of the University at the board room of the School of Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology
In his address, the Vice Chancellor of F.U.T Minna, Professor Farouk Adamu Kuta who was ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Uno Uno, expressed his delight at the great works the engineering departments were doing in the school
Speaking earlier in her welcome address, Professor Elizabeth Owunka, The Dean of School of Electrical Electronics Engineering (SEET) urged technologist to seize every opportunity that come their way to enhance knowledge and be more practical than theoretical.
She also implored them to make use of laboratory equipment for more innovative work even as she noted the progress made thus far as well as the reasons for organizing the workshop
The ongoing Skill G ‘ADD-ONS training which continues today would end tomorrow, Thursday the 13th of June 2024
Skill G is a company devoted to equipping the educational system through imparting basic knowledge about the new technologies that are available in the field of engineering
The training involves four teams namely – Mechatronics, Auto-tronics, Electronics and the Refridge-tronics.
