The Etsu Nupe and Chairman Council Of Traditional Rulers, Niger State, His Royal Highness Yahaya Abubakar has admonished all the traditional rulers and relevant stakeholders to support the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) programme – for the development of the girl child in Niger State.
The Emir made the call while receiving the wife of the Niger State Governor, Hajiya Fatima Muhammed Bago who paid him an advocacy visit at his palace in Bida.
The traditional ruler said the core objectives of AGILE would be realized if all relevant stakeholders supported projects targeted at empowering adolescent girls through education to enable them to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the State
Speaking earlier, Hajiya Fatima Muhammad Bago, disclosed the readiness of the State Government to support any initiative that would empower the girl-child to increase enrollment in Schools.
