The Nigerian Navy has demanded the establishment of a Special Maritime Court to expedite the resolution of maritime-related cases.
This call was made on Friday during a visit to the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, VON, in Abuja by Commodore Adams Aliyu, representing the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla.
Commodore Aliyu, speaking on behalf of the Chief of Naval Staff, noted significant progress in apprehending offenders and dismantling illegal storage facilities and refineries.
While highlighting their commitment to combatting oil theft, the Navy has launched Operation Delta Security in Warri.
Vice Admiral Ogalla also outlined his vision for the Nigerian Navy, aiming for a highly skilled and professional naval force capable of ensuring security in Nigeria’s maritime domain and beyond.
