Federal Government approves pay-rise for workers under six consolidated salary structures
The Federal Government has approved an increase of between 25% and 35% in salaries for Civil Servants on six Consolidated Salary Structures
Benefitting workers are those under the Consolidated Public Service Salary Structure (CONPSS), Consolidated Research and Allied Institutions Salary Structure (CONRAISS), Consolidated Police Salary Structure (CONPOSS), Consolidated Para-military Salary Structure (CONPASS), Consolidated Intelligence Community Salary Structure (CONICCS) and Consolidated Armed Forces Salary Structure (CONAFSS).
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Federal Government said workers in the Tertiary Institutions and Health Sectors were already benefitting from an upward review of salaries.
The statement signed by the Head of Press, National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC), Emmanuel Njoku said the new pay rise takes effect from 1st January 2024.
