NANS threatens mass student action over fuel crises
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has called on relevant stakeholders in the country to address the current scarcity of fuel in some parts of the country.
Describing the development as unacceptable, the student body asked government to bear in mind, the economic situation in the country and how fuel scarcity has adverse effects on Nigerian students
President of NANS Senate, Comrade Akinteye Afeez, called on President Bola Tinubu and Mallam
Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of NNPC Limited to address the situation as well as ensure transparency and accountability in providing information about the state of fuel supply and distribution.
He also charged NNPC Limited to improve infrastructure and logistics to ensure the efficient distribution of fuel across the country.
He concluded by threatening a mass action by students across the country should the current fuel crisis linger more than necessary
