The Niger State government has procured assorted grains worth several billions of Naira to be distributed to all 25 Local Government Areas, Emirate Councils, Religious leaders, Security Agencies in the State
In a Statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Honorable Binta Mamman and made available to Newsmen in Minna, it was indicated that each of Local Government will receive one thousand bags of 10 kilogram Rice, 184 bags of 25 kg Rice, two thousand bags of 10 kg Maize, 490 bags of 25 kg of Maize, one thousand two hundred bags of 10kg Millet, as well as one thousand two hundred bags of Sorghum and Seven hundred and seventy five bags of Beans.
According to the Statement each Local Government will also receive a total number of 7,079 bags of assorted grains except for Bida, Kontagora and Suleja Local Government Areas which will receive a total of Fourteen thousand bags of assorted grains each.
Chanchaga Local Government Area will receive the highest number of distribution with Twenty-one thousand bags of grains.
Others to benefit from this gesture include Internally Displaced Persons and Organized Labour.
The Statement also listed the Government House, the offices of the Deputy Governor, SSG , Head of Service as well as the Judiciary and Office of Political Advisers among beneficiaries

Honorable Binta Mamman disclosed that a total sum of Nine hundred and Sevety-six Million Naira would be expended for Ramadan feeding across the Eight Emirate Councils in the State.
She said under Zone A, Bida, Agaei and Lapai will receive N222 Million, 43Million and 40Million respectfully while Minna, Kagara and Suleja will get 227 Million, 43 Million and 105 Million Naira respectively.
Also included on the list are Kontagora and Borgu Emirates which are to receive 226 Million and 70 Million respectively.
The commissioner appealed to all responsible for the distribution and Coordination of the Palliatives and Ramadan feeding, to ensure fairness and go about executing the tasks with the fear of God
