Residents have stormed a warehouse belonging to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Department of Agriculture looting it almost empty amid the ongoing food crisis in the country.

The warehouse was raided by the residents on Sunday morning.

Earlier reports on social media had claimed that the warehouse belonged to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

However, sources in NEMA denied the warehouse belonged to the Agency and confirmed that it owned by the FCT Agriculture Department instead.

On inquiry, the Public Relations Officer of the FCT Agric secretariat, Zakari Aliyu, also confirmed that the looted warehouse belonged to the outfit.

He, however, did not disclose further details on the looted warehouse.
