Al-Halal Cooperative Multipurpose Society Limited, the premier cooperative society at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, has convened its 19th Annual General Meeting.
The AGM which held earlier today at the CPES hall, Bosso Campus, was marked by the celebration of a capital of One Billion, Eighty-Four Million, Eight Hundred and Forty-Nine Thousand, and Five Hundred Naira (N1,084,849,500.00) as at December 2023.
Members of the cooperative gathered to discuss vital issues, evaluate progress and chart a new course for the future.
The meeting also provided a platform for members to express their opinions, encourage collaboration and endorse personal and community development initiatives.
Presiding over the proceedings was Dr. Abubakar Usman, the President of the cooperative society who warmly welcomed attendees and expressed gratitude for their active participation and contributions to the cooperative’s success.
Dr. Usman presented an overview of the society’s accomplishments over the past year, emphasizing significant milestones, financial achievements, and community-based projects, such as the ongoing hostel construction in Gidan Kwano campus.
In a brief interaction with Search FM News, Dr. Usman appreciated the management for allowing the society to act on its freewill. He also thanked the members for their cooperation and for contributing their hard-earned money to the success of the society.
The president also expressed immense joy and satisfaction over the increase in capital; adding that the remarkable growth was s a result of the collective efforts and dedication of the members and partners.
Highlight of the event included the presentation of the financial secretary’s report by Dr. A. A. Abdullahi, the financial secretary of the cooperative society as well the presentation of the Supervisory committee report by the Chairman of the committee, Prof. A. S. Abdulkareem
