The Minister of Works, David Umahi, says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved funds for the construction of the Second Niger Bridge, the Lagos-Ibadan highway and the Lafia bypass. He stated this yesterday during the inspection of the Lafia bypass road and the Enugu-Makurdi Road Project in Benue.
Mr Umahi pointed out that the approval will alleviate financial constraints obstructing the three projects. He underscored the federal government’s resolve to remove all hindrances in its path toward advancing the road infrastructure revolution. The Minister commended the Benue and Enugu state governors for instituting task force committees to maintain security at the project sites.
On his part, the governor of Benue State, Father Hyacinth Alia who joined the minister on the inspection, said the road project would benefit businesses in the state.
