The Defence Headquarters says the Nigerian military has deployed its special forces to effectively curtail new security threats as well as tackle the activities of kidnappers and other criminal elements across the country. Speaking yesterday at a media parley in Abuja, Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, said the military was conscious of recent security concerns in the country.

He said troops across the country were working tirelessly to address the situation both in the immediate and long term to ensure the safety of lives and property. General Buba added that the military has constantly revamped its operational strategies to adopt the best course of action that would guarantee success.

He said the military has deployed special forces to some of the hotspots to conduct targeted operations. General Buba also revealed that the Nigerian military was leaving no stone unturned to restore normalcy in affected areas.
