The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has officially received the report of the Task Force responsible for the relocation of foreign airlines from the old terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos to the new terminal.

In a statement issued by the Head of Press and Public Affairs in the Aviation Ministry, Odutayo Oluseyi, the Minister expressed his gratitude to the Task Force members for their selfless dedication to the nation.

Keyamo emphasized the vital role of the Lagos airport, which accounts for a significant 60% of all entry and exit points into Nigeria. He noted that the old terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, when compared to the country’s other international airports, is in a state of disrepair. The Minister affirmed his commitment to oversee the complete overhaul of the terminal before the conclusion of his administration.

Assuring the Task Force of his dedication to implementing their recommendations promptly, Minister Keyamo instructed that a meeting be convened with the airport contractors.
