The National Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has called on state governors and their deputies to maintain cordial relationship toward strengthening democracy in Nigeria.
He stated this today when he received members of former APC deputy governors’ forum in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
The former Governor of Kano State said that being a deputy governor in Nigeria was most difficult because of sycophants who tried to create confusion and a rift between governors and their deputies.
Mr Ganduje said that deputy governors were value assets in times of trouble in states.
He also said that the APC under his leadership would look at the possibility of organising a national conference to discuss ways of smoothening relationships between governors and their deputies.
The APC Chairman noted that the book does not only dwell on governors and their deputies but also the President and Vice-President.
