The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has commenced an investigation into the alleged attack on Jabiru Tsauri, the Chief of Staff to the Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda.
It was gathered that the governor’s aide escaped an attack by suspected Customs personnel on the 13th of July.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the personnel targeted the victim at a location known as Gorar Yammama, while on his way to Abuja.
Governor Radda on his part has vehemently condemned the incident and called for a thorough investigation to ensure that justice is served.
However, in a statement today, Katsina Customs spokesman, Tahir Balarabe, described the incident as unfortunate, sympathizing with the victim and the Katsina State Government.
