Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has appealed to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) for more intervention projects in Yusuf Maitama Sule University and Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil.
The Governor made the appealed today in Abuja during a visit to the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Mr Sonny Echono.
He said there was need for a robust collaboration between the Kano government and the Fund to ensure improved tertiary education delivery.
The Governor commended TETFund for its various infrastructure projects in tertiary institutions across the country.
On his part, the TETFund’s Executive Secretary, Mr Echono assured that the Fund was ready to partner with the present administration to improve the fortunes of tertiary institutions in the state.
Mr Echono described Kano as not only center of commerce but also of learning with a good number of universities in the state.
He said TETFund’s Board of Trustees, has put a limit on the number of institutions the Fund can cater for in a state.
