Nigerlites have been re-assured of efforts by the Niger State government to provide an enabling environment for industries to thrive in the state, as part of steps to transform the state into an industrial hub.

This assurance was given on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Niger State Governor, Mrs Mary Noel-Berje, while speaking on Search FM’s Breakfast Show, the Morning Ride.

The Chief Press Secretary who was in the studio to give a score-card of the achievements of Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello, said the present Administration was more concerned about the impact of projects rather than their size.

On the progress made in the Health Sector, Mrs Noel-Berje pointed out that the government has been able to equip and renovate health facilities across the state; adding that most of the Primary Health Care centres in the 25 Local Government Areas of the state have been upgraded.

Answering questions on Government’s effort at improving the education sector, shr revealed that government had constructed and renovated no fewer than 2,500 classrooms as well as recruit about 2,600 teachers through the State’s Universal Basic Education Board.

Mrs Noel-Berje however called on parents to remain committed to the education of their wards so as to compliment the effort of the Niger State Government

The Chief Press Secretary also enumerated some of the steps the state government has taken to ensure the security of residents, while calling on the Federal Government to continue to support the State in its fight against banditry
