The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has suspended its nationwide strike, which began on Monday, following a meeting with representatives of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.
In a communique released on Tuesday, JUSUN said the suspension was in response to the CJN’s commitment to intervene.
It agreed to a one-month negotiation window to allow the CJN, the Minister of Labour and Employment, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and other stakeholders address its demands.
The union is pushing for the implementation of a new ₦70,000 minimum wage, a 25–35% salary increase, wage award arrears, and other entitlements.
Members have been directed to resume duties on Wednesday, the 4th of June
