‎The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has suspended its nationwide strike, which began on Monday, following a meeting with representatives of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.

‎In a communique released on Tuesday, JUSUN said the suspension was in response to the CJN’s commitment to intervene.

‎It agreed to a one-month negotiation window to allow the CJN, the Minister of Labour and Employment, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and other stakeholders address its demands.

‎The union is pushing for the implementation of a new ₦70,000 minimum wage, a 25–35% salary increase, wage award arrears, and other entitlements.

‎Members have been directed to resume duties on Wednesday, the 4th of June
