Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has invited 23 players, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, star goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and forward Toni Payne, for two international friendlies against Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses.
The matches are scheduled for Saturday, 31st of May at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, and Tuesday the 3rd of June, at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.
The games are part of Nigeria’s preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, while Cameroon, who failed to qualify for the tournament, will use the matches for team development.
All players are expected to report to camp at the Am2pm Hotel, Ijebu-Ode, by the 26th of May
Nigeria, nine-time champions, are drawn in Group B alongside Tunisia, Algeria, and Botswana for the July tournament.
