The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to revitalizing Unity Schools across the country to make them centres of excellence

‎Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad stated this during her tour to Federal Government College (FGC), Kano, in Kano state and Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Kazaure, in Jigawa State.

‎The Minister in a statement by the Director of Press of the Ministry, Folasade Boriowo noted that the tour was part of ongoing efforts to assess infrastructure, teaching standards, and student welfare across unity schools in the country.

‎During the visits, Professor Suwaiba engaged directly with school leadership, teachers, and students, gaining first-hand insights into the conditions of the schools and the challenges they face.

‎She explained that the inspection was not ceremonial but an intentional effort to align government policies with realities on the ground.

‎Professor Suwaiba added that the assessment tour was necessary as the Federal Government had earmarked over ₦80 billion for the renovation and upgrade of more than 100 Unity Schools across the country.
