The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has reiterated its position that the suspension of the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara, by President Bola Tinubu is unconstitutional and called on the President to reverse that decision.

The NBA President, Afam Osigwe made this known on Sunday while speaking with newsmen, following up with earlier statements condemning the action

Osigwe insisted that Fubara be brought back to his position as the governor of Rivers State as the constitution did not recognise a Sole Administrator.

According to him, the measure being taken to address the problem in Rivers State was overreaching, extensive, undemocratic and above all, unconstitutional.

He maintained that the issue in the State was political and only a political solution would end it
