The First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has donated N500 million to victims of the recent flood in Maiduguri, Borno State.
She made the donation on Wednesday after visiting Maiduguri to sympathize with the Borno State government over the flood that affected over two million residents.
The First Lady was represented in Maiduguri by the wife of the vice president, Nana Kashim Shettima.
Delivering an address on behalf of the First Lady, Nana Shettima eulogized Governor Zulum for his resilience in governance.
She then commiserated with the government and people of the state on behalf of the first lady before proceeding to make a donation of N500 million for the victims.
The entourage to Maiduguri included wives of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Deputy Senate President, Lagos and Yobe state governors, wives of ministers and other presidential aides.
