President Bola Tinubu met with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace in London, the United Kingdom.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, revealed this in a statement on Thursday.

He described the meeting as private, highlighting the enduring relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

According to the statement, the leaders discussed global and regional matters of shared priority, focusing on the urgent and complex challenge of climate change.

President Tinubu and His Majesty also explored opportunities for partnership in anticipation of the upcoming COP 29 Summit in Azerbaijan and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa.
