Federal High Court Grants N10 Million Bail to #EndBadGovernance Protesters, Imposes Restrictions on Public Activities | Search Media

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has granted N10 million bail to the ten #EndBadGovernance protesters who were arraigned on charges of treason.

While delivering the ruling on the bail applications, Justice Emeka Nwite stipulated that the protesters must not participate in any public rallies throughout their trial.

The judge directed the defendants to produce one surety each, based in Abuja, who must be willing to deposit their international passports.

The court also ordered that the plaintiffs remain in custody pending the perfection of their bail conditions.

The accused are alleged to have attempted to overthrow President Bola Tinubu during the one-week nationwide protests.

The court has scheduled the commencement of the trial for September 27.
