The Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy Ohanenye has emphasized the need for more inclusion of Women in Politics and governance, as they play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of the country

The Minister stated this at the closeout and dissemination ceremony of Woman’s Voice and Leadership project in Abuja

The Minister, represented by the Principal Social Welfare officer of the Ministry, Mr. Alake Olaniran said the ministry was committed to ensuring the rights of Women were given support in achieving their goals.

The event, organised by FCT Women Voice Leadership, WVL and other Partners, highlighted the achievements, shared the learnings and discussion on the sustainable impact of the project

The Women’s Voice and Leadership project is a five-year project funded by Global Affairs Canada and supported by ActionAid Nigeria, with the aim in empowering women and promoting gender equality in the FCT.
