Aggrieved citizens have been urged to give President Bola Tinubu more time to address the country’s economic woes.
This call was made on Sunday by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo during an interview with Newsmen in Abuja
The minister said the present administration should not be judged for its inability to fix problems that have existed for decades – within one year.
He maintained that the present state of the economy stemmed from accumulated mismanagement over the last 60 years
He advised organizers of the protest against hardship and hunger scheduled to start on the 1st of August – to explore all avenues of engagement and dialogue before embarking on any protest.
The minister insisted that the President meant well for the nation and had taken bold decisions including the removal of petrol subsidy which he described as a cancer
