President Tinubu congratulates new president-elect of Nigerian Bar Association | Search Media

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Afam Osigwe (SAN), on his election as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). In a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Ajuri Ngelale, on Monday, the president also extended congratulations to all newly elected officers and members of the NBA on the success of the elections.

President Tinubu also lauded the outgoing NBA President, Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), on his leadership as Nigeria’s foremost legal association.

The president then assured the new leader of the NBA of his administration’s support in resolving challenges affecting the association and the legal profession

Osigwe emerged as the new NBA president after securing 20,435 votes, defeating his closest rival, Chairman of the NBA-Institute of Continuing Legal Education Governing Council, Tobenna Erojikwe, who gathered 10,998 votes.
