Senate President Godswill Akpabio has denied widely reported claims that the Senate was considering granting approval for the procurement of new aircraft for President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Setting the records straight while addressing Newsmen in Maiduguri on Tuesday, Akpabio described the claims as false.
The Senate President attributed the rumor to fifth columnists, bent on ruining the reputation of the Senate
He assured Nigerians that the Senate would continue to stay focused on delivering legislation that would support the actualisation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He expressed satisfaction with the present security situation of Borno State and urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the present administration.
Akpabio was in Borno State to pay a condolence visit to Senator Tahir Monguno over the death of his father.
