Head of Civil Service Awards 40 Civil Servants for Outstanding Performances | Search Media

The office of the Head of Civil Service has awarded 40 Civil Servants in different categories for outstanding performances.

The Head of Service, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan awarded the outstanding Civil Servants on Sunday at the 2024 Civil Service Week Award and Gala night, in Abuja, Nigeria.

She said after a rigorous selection process in line with the Service-Wide Criteria and Weighting, thirty-Nine Nominees scored above the Cut-Off Mark and were selected for the 2024 Edition of the Federal Civil Service Rewards and Recognition.

Dr Yemi-Esan explained that Standing Service-Wide Awards Selection Committee (SWASCo), screened nominations made by the Ministerial Selection Committee of MDAs and selected deserving officers for the various categories of awards.

She added that the committee comprised of representatives from both public and private sector organisations.

Dr Yemi-Esan further announced that the Nigeria Customs Service had donated 6Toyota Camry Cars in support of the 2024 Civil Service Week which had been distributed to the fourth to nineth positions.

The Head of Civil Service reiterated the need for that MDAs to remain committed to implementing and strengthening their recognition and reward systems.

The elated overall winner of the competition, Dr. Mercy Ilori who spoke on behalf of the winners, admonished the younger Civil Servants to keep hope alive and believe in the Civil Service.

The Star Prize was a Brand New 2023 JAC JS4 Luxury Model SUV; Next was a 2 Bedroom Semi-Detached Bungalow; and the third top prize was a serviced Plot of Land measuring 400sqm.

All the 40 Winners received a monetary gift of 500,000 Naira each, from the Aig Imoukhuede Foundation.
