Following ruling of the Federal High Court on Muhammadu Sanusi’s status as Emir on Thursday, the Kano State government has ordered deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero to vacate the Mini Palace he is occupying
Issuing the directive at a press conference, the Kano State Attorney General, Haruna Isah Dederi, said the order became necessary owing to the need for government to renovate the facility
Dederi who affirmed that Emir Muhammad Sanusi remains the emir of the Kano Emirate, said Aminu Ado Bayero’s continued stay at the Mini Palace – amounted to a trespass of the facility
Recall that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had on the 25th of May, 2024 ordered the eviction and arrest of Bayero, accusing him of creating tension within the state despite his removal.
