The Nigeria Police Force has highlighted significant corruption and irregularities in the recent list of successful candidates for the 2022/23 Police Constables Recruitment Exercise.

In a statement released on Saturday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, it was revealed that the list, available on the Police Service Commission (PSC) portal, included names of individuals who never applied, candidates who failed the Computer Based Test, and those disqualified for medical reasons.

The PSC had announced on June 4 the approval and release of a list of 10,000 successful applicants. However, the Inspector General of Police raised objections to this list on June 10, addressing a letter to the Commission’s Chairman highlighting these irregularities.
