The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has disclosed plans to hire a foreign technical adviser for the Super Eagles; following the team’s dismal performance at the recent 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
In a communique issues on Thursdays, the NFF said the appointment of the technical adviser would come in the coming weeks.
The NFF also apologized to Super Eagles’ fans for the disappointing showing thus far
The NFF also “expressed displeasure with the poor attitude of some of the players to the national assignment, and unanimously decided in favour of a more robust scouting programme for outstanding Nigeria-eligible players from across the world who can add value to the national team.
The decision to hire a technical adviser comes after the Executive Committee of Nigeria Football Federation held a meeting on Wednesday, 12th of June to deliberate on important issues in Nigeria Football
The NFF is yet to categorically spell out what would become of present Eagles Coach, Finidi George, in its proposed new arrangement
