The Niger State Government through the Niger Foods Security System and Logistics Ltd – has secured a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with the Niger State Agricultural and Mechanisation Development Authority (NAMDA) to support small and medium-holder farmers
The signing of the agreement was presided over by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Abubakar Usman on behalf of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago at the Government House in Minna.
The SSG, Alh. Abubakar Usman said the MoU was n line with the agricultural revolution of Governor Bago, explaining that the State Government had invested heavily in Agriculture to support the national policy on food security.
He disclosed that under the agreement, the small, and medium holder farmers would form cooperatives, to access inputs that would boost their yields.
