The Federal Government has dismissed media reports suggesting that Russia is allegedly sending thousands of migrants and foreign students to fight alongside its troops in the war against Ukraine for the purpose of visa renewal.
The Federal Government maintains that it is in communication with Nigerians in the European country and had gotten no such intel
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs which issued the statement seized the medium to appeal to media outlets to exercise due diligence by verifying information at their disposal before releasing them to the public.
Recall that a recent publication implied that Russia was threatening not to extend the visas of African students and young workers, unless they agreed to join the military
