Barcelona have appointed former Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick as their new manager on a two-year contract.
Flick, was who let go by Germany in September 2023, takes over from Xavi, who was sacked last week.
Flick had guided Bayern Munich to a treble in 2020, winning the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League.
Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski, played under Flick at the Allianz Arena for two seasons.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Flick said it was a big honour and a dream for him to sign a contract with Barcelona; adding that he was still hungry to win titles and would love to do so with the spanish giants
Departing Barcelona boss Xavi, who was sacked a month after the club confirmed he would stay, has said his successor will “suffer” in the role.
Flick has been out of work since he was sacked by Germany eight months ago.
