Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has ordered the arrest of deposed Emir Aminu Ado Bayero over alleged forceful return , causing tension in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, he stated that the governor, in his capacity as the State Chief Security Officer, ordered the deposed Emir’s arrest for violating laws and directives.
The governor, along with his Deputy and other government officials, has reportedly taken control of the Emir’s Palace to prevent the deposed Emir from returning forcefully.
The deposed Emir was reportedly brought back to Kano and placed at the Nasarawa Emir Rest House, while Governor Abba and his Deputy remained at the Emir’s Palace after reinstating Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II.
