Directors of Entrepreneurship Centres ( North Central Zone) have held a one-day workshop to deliberate on innovative ways to improving the centres across universities.
They converged at the Entrepreneurship Centre of the Federal University of Technology Minna, Gidan kwano Campus on Thursday for the workshop titled: ACHIEVING THE MANDATE OF OUR ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTRES THROUGH REGIONAL COLLABORATION.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor of F.U.T Minna, Professor Farouk Adamu Kuta who was ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Professor Uno Uno, encouraged the directors to ensure they fulfill the mandate of their respective centres in the North-Central zone through value addition.
Speaking earlier in her welcome address, the Director, Entrepreneurship Centre, F.U.T Minna, Professor C.O. Alenoghena expressed optimism about the future of entrepreneurship in Nigeria with references to the successes recorded by incubation hubs through collaborations with facilitators and the involvement of the students at the centre in F.U.T Minna
Also speaking at the event, the Dean of the School of Infrastructure, Process Engineering and Technology (SIPET) Professor Z. D. Osunde, who once headed the centre, acknowledged some of the strides it had achieved despite challenges – over the years.
Highlights of the workshop included a brainstorming session by the directors, a tour round the different hubs at the F.U.T Minna as well as group Photography.
