The Niger State Emergency Management Agency says no life was lost in the building-collapse that occured at the weekend in the State Capital
The Director General of the Agency, Abdullahi Baba’arah who stated this while addressing Newsmen – said while manual evaluation was still ongoing, no fatalities had been recorded
The General Manager Niger State Urban Development Board Bako Ismail who also spoke on the incident said the board is granting the owner of the building 24 hours to evacuate the property before the arrival of a demolition team tasked with completely removing the structure.
Security personnel remain stationed at the scene of the incident at the new market area of the Minna metropolis at the timing of filing this report – to prevent looting.
