The Federal Executive Council has approved the final report that is expected to improve basic healthcare in the country
Minister of State for Health, Tunji Alausa, who disclosed this to Newsmen at the end of this week’s cabinet meeting on Monday – said the report would facilitate increased funding for basic healthcare
He said that with the new development, there would be better coordination between development partners and healthcare providers to mobilize more resources for Primary Healthcare Centres across the country.
The health minister also announced that the Council gave approval for the procurement of a tomography scanner; popularly called CT scanner, for the Teaching Hospital in Gombe State – in line with President Bola Tinibu’s commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare for all Nigerians.
