Freshers at the Federal University of Technology Minna have been officially absorbed into the University community courtesy of a Matriculation Ceremony at the Main Campus of the University in Gidan Kwano.
The ceremony which held on Monday at the Suleiman Kumo Convocation Square, saw hundreds of 100-Level students clad in the purple gown of the University, converge at the venue with excitement alongside their parents, friends and other well-wishers
In his address at the event, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta congratulated the students on their admission and encouraged them to embrace opportunities as well as face the challenges that lie ahead.
The Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment and ample opportunities for academic and personal growth – even as he advised them to make the best use of their time at the university by actively participating in research, extra-curricular activities and community service.
The highlight of the ceremony was the administering of Matriculation Oath by the University Registrar, which saw fresh students pledge their commitment to upholding the values and ideals of the university
