Search Media mourns passing of former Campus Radio Board, Professor Segun Oyero | Search Media

The Board, Management, Staff and entire crew of Search Media, F.U.TMinna have joined the University Community in mourning, following the death of former Chairman Campus Radio Board, Professor Segun Oyero, which occured on Saturday at the University of Abuja, Specialist Hospital Gwagwalada after a brief illness.

The deceased had served the University in various capacities including as one time Head of Department, Aquaculture and Fisheries Technology, Chairman, University Sports Committee as well as former Director of the Directorate of collaborations, Affiliations and Linkages (D.CAL), F.U.T Minna amongst other positions.

 

He was Chairman of the Campus Radio Board from 2014 to 2016 and a close confidant and guardian to many volunteers (past and present) at Search Media.

Aside from being an Academic thoroughbred, Professor Oyero would be remembered for his love for music, golf and camaraderie with staff and rapport with students.

The University Don and adopted uncle to many at Search FM was aged 60.

He is survived by his wife and a son.
