The Acting Executive Vice Chairman of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, Adamu Abdullahi, who issued this warning in a statement on Saturday – stated that businesses are expected to display transparent pricing information to empower consumers to make informed purchasing decisions.
He said businesses must avoid misleading prices and adhere to fair and transparent pricing practices to ensure consumer protection and a healthy market environment.
The Acting Executive assured that the commission remains committed to combating all forms of exploitative or misleading practices that undermine consumer rights; adding that violators would be sanctioned in accordance with the law.
