Federal Government optimistic about ongoing efforts to reduce pressure on Nation’s finances | Search Media

The Presidency has expressed optimism that the removal of subsidies on petrol and the unification of exchange rate would ultimately reduce the pressure on Nigeria’s finances

Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to the President, Bayo Onanuga, who stated this recently, debunked claims that the Federal Government was still owing federal workers their salaries.

He disclosed that the office of the Accountant General of the Federation had acknowledged a challenge with its disbursement platform but had since resolved the issue. The Special Adviser also said that based on Nigeria’s low per capita income in comparison to other African countries, Nigeria’s wealth was over-estimated.
