Organized Labour and Federal Government resumes talks ahead of proposed indefinite strike. | Search Media

The Federal Government and the Organised Labour are currently meeting at the Chief of Staff Conference Room of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Today’s meeting is to brief the representatives of the Federal government on the resolutions reached by the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria.

These will include Labour’s final decision on the concessions and offers the Federal Government made to the workers on Sunday.

The organised labour agreed to relay Federal Government’s offer to their various unions for consideration to possibly call off the proposed nationwide strike.

Recall that on Sunday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, said the President agreed to review the Provisional Wage Increase from 25,000 naira per month to 35,000 naira per month for both senior and low-grade workers.
