Governor Lawal promises adequate education funding in Zamfara state. | Search Media

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring sufficient allocation of funds in the state’s yearly budget for education.

The governor made this known yesterday during the 23rd matriculation event at Zamfara College of Arts and Science, Gusau.

In a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the matriculation ceremony which held at the college premises, signified the commencement of the academic journey for 2,369 newly admitted students for the 2023/2024 session.

In his remark, Governor Lawal said that the significant number of students who have graduated from the institution over the years speaks volumes about the College’s effectiveness in fulfilling its obligations.

He pledged to provide high-quality, inclusive education for all residents of Zamfara State, regardless of social standing, in alignment with the Social Development Goals on education.

Earlier, the College Provost, Dr. Yakubu Sani, commended the Governor for consistently providing scholarships annually to more than 200 students from personal funds over the past 10 years.
