The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Abbas Tajudeen, says the Legislative Agenda of the 10th House is seeking to address the yearnings of Nigerians.
He stated this on monday during a stakeholders’ meeting organised by the House’ Ad Hoc Committee on Legislative Agenda in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
According to him, the parliament was ready to welcome citizens’ participation in the effort towards addressing the challenges facing the country.
The Speaker said the House would not hesitate to consult with critical stakeholders in developing the agenda to get their input.
Honourable Abbas explained that the House paid priority attention to the participatory budgeting process and delivery, electoral reform, women’s participation and inclusion in governance, improved socio-economic conditions, and citizens-focused diplomacy, among others.
On his part, the leader of the House and Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee on Legislative Agenda, Honourable Julius Ihonvbere, noted that their duty was to shape the trajectory of the country, bequeathing a prosperous and vibrant nation where every citizen could achieve his full potential.
