IGP ASSURES OF ROBUST SECURITY DURING SALLAH | Search Media

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, has assured Nigerians of robust security during Eid-el-Fitri celebrations, noting that proactive measures had been put in place nationwide.
The IG, in a statement issued in Abuja by the force spokesman, DCP Frank Mba, reminded citizens that the COVID-19 prevention orders, including interstate movement restriction, national curfew and the prohibition of mass socio-religious gatherings, were still in force.
He enjoined the citizens to observe the Eid celebrations, bearing in mind, the unusual times brought about by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He noted that the Force would continue to enforce the restriction orders put in place to curb the spread of the disease.
