The Commissioner of Police in Niger State, CP Adamu Usman, made this call in a statement issued by Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Wasiu Abiodun, in Minna, the Niger State Capital

The Commissioner of Police who felicitated with Muslims ahead of Sallah, seized the medium to remind residents that the restriction of movement, use of face mask and night curfew imposed by Government to check the spread of Covid-19 would remain in force during the forthcoming celebration

He assured that the Command had put adequate security measures in place to clamp down on anyone or group of persons threatening to disrupt public peace during and after the Eid period.

To this end, CP Adamu called on parents and guardians to caution their wards against any form of public disturbance to avert potential arrest and prosecution
