Benue State Government has imposed a 24 hours curfew on Katsina-Ala town in Katsina-Ala town in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of the state.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary to teh Acting Governor Mr. Ede Ogaba, the curfew begins with immediate effect and would be reviewed as the situation demands.
Mr. Ogaba who explained that the curfew was part of efforts to restore peace and ensure the security of lives and property in Katsina-Ala area of the state, added that anyone found fomenting trouble in the area or in other parts of the state would be apprehended and punished according to the law.
He also noted that more security personnel had been deployed to Katsina-Ala to end the crisis.
